A licensed professional counselor intern (LPC-I) is someone who has completed an undergraduate degree and a master's degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field, has passed the Texas State Board of Examiners Licensing Exam for Licensed Professional Counselors, and receives weekly supervision and case consultation from a licensed professional counselor supervisor (Bernis Riley).
A graduate intern counselor is someone who has completed an undergraduate degree in psychology, social work, or a related field, and is currently completing a practicum as part of the requirements for a master's degree in counseling.
Insurance
SoulCare Counseling is an out of network provider for most insurance companies. We do not directly accept insurance as payment, however we will give you a receipt for services, which you may file with your insurance company for out of network reimbursement. See "common questions" for how this policy is to your advantage.
SoulCare Scholarship Program
We offer a scholarship program for those desiring counseling but who cannot afford multiple sessions. Church staff members may refer qualifying clients for counseling or coaching by requesting and completing the 6-session scholarship form. For more information, have your church staff member contact SoulCare Counseling. The scholarship agreement is that:
-Sessions 1 and 2 will be paid for by the client.
-Sessions 3 and 4 will be paid for by the client's church.
-Sessions 5 and 6 will be donated by the counselor.
Payment
Cash, check and all major credit cards accepted for payment.
Cancellation Policy
If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment and you have not notified us at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session.
