Bernis Riley, Psy.D, LPC-S holds a Master of Arts degree in counseling from Liberty University, and a Doctor of Psychology degree from California Southern University. Her major experience is in marriage and family therapy and trauma. She is licensed by the state of Texas as a licensed professional counselor supervisor and is certified in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). She is a member of the Texas Christian Counseling Association and ICEEFT (International Center for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy). She is the founder and director of SoulCare Counseling.

Jonathan Fisher, LPC holds a Master’s of Science from the University of North Texas in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. He completed internships at a mental health hospital as well as a private Christian counseling practice.  As a follower of Christ, Jonathan is committed to empathize with people as opposed to judging them.  He believes that coming to the table with a humble and compassionate spirit is the only way that he can encourage true healing and change to occur. Mendy Landreth, M.Ed., LPC, NCC, Registered Play Therapist, has affectionately been called "a mender of people." She uses compassion and empathy to bring healing to families and individuals. In addition to her powerful work with children, Mendy utilizes sandtray therapy and other expressive art activities with teens and interested adults.

Being a mom has allowed Mendy to understand how challenging parenting can be, which is why she is so eager to come alongside parents to make their jobs less stressful. She is grateful for the privilege of studying under her father-in-law, Dr. Garry Landreth, world-renowned authority in the field of play therapy. Her master's combined with her bachelor's degree in Child Development and Family Studies provided a solid educational foundation.

Having been married 20 years, Mendy has gained insight that allows her to offer hope and encouragement to other women and couples. She especially enjoys providing premarital counseling and a $60 discount on marriage licenses through the Twogether in Texas program.

Mendy has had invaluable experience working with survivors of abuse and other atrocities, but she recognizes the benefit of counseling for people in all stages of life, whether they’ve endured trauma or simply need help finding peace in the midst of overly hectic lifestyles.

Karen Merritt, LPC intern, holds a Bachelor of Science in Multi-Disciplinary Studies from Texas Tech University and a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling degree from Liberty University. Through her 15 years of teaching both elementary and middle school, Karen has worked with children and adolescents with a variety of concerns including ADHD, eating disorders, self‐harm, bullying, autism, depression, and abuse, divorce, parental problems, and self‐concept issues. Karen believes that God is the third person in the counseling relationship and through seeking His guidance, truth, and love, brokenness can be healed. Change takes place from the inside out, and through the power of the Holy Spirit, we can live our lives knowing not only who we are but also Whose we are. Natasha Montgomery, LPC, and Certified Life Coach, holds a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and a Bachelor of Science in Health Administration with a minor in Psychology from Michigan State University.

Through the guidance of Christ, Natasha stepped away from her corporate career in Healthcare Credentialing after 16 years to pursue the path of counseling/coaching full-time. It is her desire that God will continue to use her as a resource for those who are dealing with the struggles of life. Natasha is married and has two beautiful children.

Natasha has spent time teaching children, mentoring youth, and leading marriage ministry groups which is her passion and purpose. Natasha has experience counseling individuals, premarital couples, couples (dating/married), families, and facilitating group therapy in the private practice and outpatient hospital setting. Her goal is to help create unity, cohesiveness, and peace within family units. Natasha understands that life happens to everyone and things get hard. During those tough times, she enjoys being able to offer an open environment where individuals can explore, discuss, and overcome the issues that they are facing.

Denisa Mohr, LPC-Intern, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Special Education, specializing in elementary education and has completed her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. She holds a certification in Biblical Counseling from The Biblical Counseling Institute through Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  Denisa has two children and has jointly built and operated a successful business with her loving husband since 2000. Denisa has taught elementary, middle, and high school students for over ten years in both the public and private school environment. In addition, she has spent significant time working with adolescents, women, and couples in various leadership and ministry roles over the past ten years. She desires to facilitate healing and restoration in individuals and relationships by coming alongside them to provide hope, acceptance, comfort, and guidance in their journeys to be all God has destined them to be. Denisa is a member of the American Counseling Association.

Phil Box is a pastoral counselor who works with men and couples in the area of pornography, affairs, and sexual addiction recovery. His personal recovery from porn and sex addiction has particularly equipped him to help other’s find freedom. Phil’s marriage was almost lost to the heartache, pain, and lack of trust this addiction causes in relationships. He discovered freedom from the constant acting out, shame, guilt, and destruction and today his life is free.

Through his 35 years of experience working with men and couples, Phil has developed an intensive six-step program that leads to freedom and healing marriages. He focuses on what causes the ‘acting out’ and helps develop a plan for healing and freedom.
