Mendy Landreth, M.Ed., LPC, NCC, Registered Play Therapist, has affectionately been called "a mender of people." She uses compassion and empathy to bring healing to families and individuals. In addition to her powerful work with children, Mendy utilizes sandtray therapy and other expressive art activities with teens and interested adults.
Being a mom has allowed Mendy to understand how challenging parenting can be, which is why she is so eager to come alongside parents to make their jobs less stressful. As a Certified Child-Parent Relationship Therapist, Mendy has successfully trained caregivers and other professionals with practical tools that lead to a reduction in unwanted behaviors. In 2002, Mendy earned her master’s degree in Counseling from UNT, which has been ranked the #1 counseling program in Texas. She is grateful for the privilege of studying under her father-in-law, Dr. Garry Landreth, world-renowned authority in the field of play therapy. Her master's combined with her bachelor's degree in Child Development and Family Studies provided a solid educational foundation.
Having been married 20 years, Mendy has gained insight that allows her to offer hope and encouragement to other women and couples. She especially enjoys providing premarital counseling and a $60 discount on marriage licenses through the Twogether in Texas program.
Mendy has had invaluable experience working with survivors of abuse and other atrocities, but she recognizes the benefit of counseling for people in all stages of life, whether they’ve endured trauma or simply need help finding peace in the midst of overly hectic lifestyles.

Kristy Meador, LPC-Intern , holds a Masters in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University and a Bachelors in Psychology from Midwestern State University. She is a member of the Christian Counselors of Texas.
Kristy has a passion for helping people walk through trials in life focusing in the areas of grief and trauma. Her focus is on the person as a whole and in context of their entire life. Ashlynn Barnette, Practicum Student, currently enrolled in the Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy program at The King’s University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Amber Bezney, practicum student, is currently pursuing her Masters degree in Marriage Family and Couples Counseling at Lamar University. She graduated from Baylor University in 1989 with a degree in Bachelor of Arts - Business Administration.
Amber is a single mother of two college-aged children and has experienced many ups and downs in her life. She wishes to empower those that she counsels to embrace life and find meaning in their journey, no matter what struggles or obstacles they face. In seeking God's will for our lives and through connection with Him and others, we will work together to make the changes you wish to see.
Amber is a member of the American Counseling Association. She is a past founding board member of Young Men's Service League - Pacesetter in Flower Mound, TX and currently serves on the leadership team for The Cure Starts Now - North Texas, raising money and awareness for pediatric cancer.
